Brett Spilsbury; alto saxophone and clarinet Brett joined the band in late 1998 and appeared on their ABCFM live broadcast in 1999 and also on their unreleased recordings for ABCFM of the same year. He left the band in mid-2000 when he made a ‘River-change' to South Australia's Riverland. Brett completed a Bachelor of Music (Performance) at the SACAE in 1984. He has played with numerous national and international artists including Ray Charles (US), Shirley Bassey (UK), Vilim Kaptan (Sth Africa), Don Burrows, James Morrison, Tom Burlinson, Patrick McMahon, Glen Shorrock, Normie Rowe, Chuck Findley, John Hoffman, Grace Knight, Ignatius Jones, and Swanee. He has also played in support bands for Joe Cocker (US), Carlos Santana (US), Jose Feliciano, Canned Heat and Dr Hook (with whom he toured New Zealand). Brett has played in many shows including The Boy From Oz, West Side Story, Me And My Girl, 42nd Street, A Chorus Line, Cats, Hot Shoe Shuffle, Ain't Misbehavin' and 6 O'Clock Rock. He has played regularly with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and currently performs in a number of bands including Goose. |
