Steve Todd; percussion Steve was the first real drummer Mark ever played with, back in 1987. He and Mark have played together in numerous bands over the years and he joined Marmalade Circus in late 1998.
Steve studied at Adelaide College of the Arts and at Flinders Street School of Music. He has worked across Australia and South East Asia with numerous bands. Steve has supported Joan Armatrading (US), Don McLean (US) and Peter Allen and backed John Farnham, Robyn Archer, Glenn Shorrock, Tina Arena, Joe Camilleri, Normie Rowe, Barry Crocker, Rolf Harris, Don Burrows, James Morrison, Vanetta Fields, Patrick McMahon, Peter Combe, Eric Bogle, Eartha Kitt (US), Chelsea Brown (US), Chuck Findley (US), Richie Garcia (US), John Hoffman and many other high-profile national and international artists.
Steve has played on more than 30 CD's, 100's of jingles and was resident drummer on The Music Shop TV show. He played for the Adelaide Grand Prix Ball 1990-95, South Pacific, Six O'clock Rock and has worked with the Australian Dance Theatre and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. As well as being one of Adelaide's most “in demand” drummer/percussionists, Steve works regularly with Goose, Samba Suave and the Tom Kassai Trio. |
