Tim Bowen; bass

Tim played in many of Mark's projects from 1994 to 2000 and was the original bass player for Marmalade Circus. He appeared on their ABCFM live broadcast in 1999 and also on their unreleased recordings for ABCFM of the same year. Tim completed a B. Mus. at the Elder Conservatorium in 1992.

Former Kym Purling Trio bassist, Tim has played with pianists John Harkins (US) and Stefan Karlson (Sweden), saxophonists Ricky Ford (US), Harvey Weinapple (US) and Tim Hopkins, trumpeters Rocky Winslow (US) and Scott Tinkler and Australian legend Don Burrows. Tim co-leads The Boss Trio and The Boss Quintet which recorded live-to-air for Jim McLeod's Jazz Track on ABC FM in May 1999. He has made many CD recordings and performs with the Laura Anderson Quartet and the Marlene Richards Band.
